Vera House Director of Marketing and Communications, Chris Benton, says while domestic violence calls haven’t spiked, the calls have become more intense. Vera House in Syracuse is rolling out a webchat for victims to use without leaving home.

Since COVID-19 moved S-U classes online, many college students are out of an on-campus job. For Sophomore, Grayson Jenkins, there’s no way to juggle a busy schedule at home.

“There’s no way I would be able to balance a 10-hour workday and classes at the same time. It makes no sense for me to get a job right now, exposing myself would be the last time I want to do.”

S-U Student Association has approved funding for College Republicans to bring Ben Shapiro to campus this fall. S-U- professor, Roy Gutterman, speaks on what this means for free speech on campus.
