You can expect tonight to be cloudy with a low of 75-degrees.The Onondaga County Legislature passed a bill approving an 85-million-dollar aquarium.Residents and state officials aren’t happy about the decision. Democratic Legislator Peggy Chase says the decision is not smart.
Peggy Chase: It sounds like we don’t have a designer, or a contactor or anything… We just have 85million to spend.
Houston: The Syracuse Police Department hosted their annual National Night Out event.
The event is meant to establish better relations between the police and the community.
Resident Julia Harris says the event is important.
Julia Harris: We need functions like this to bring the community together, parents and the children.
Houston:The Oneida Shores Beach has readings of E.coli in the water. Onondaga County parks are encouraging people to go to Jamesville Beach instead. Local Lauren Crandall says Oneida Beach isn’t a stranger to E.coli.
Lauren Crandall: I actually went online and saw that they have a water report and typically speaking E.coli is more present at Oneida Shores than it is here.
