Talk of impeachment now surrounds Governor Andrew Cuomo. President Biden, even calling for the governor to step down.
PRESIDENT BIDEN:”I am sure there are some embraces that were totally innocent. But apparently the atty. general decided there were things that weren’t. I think he should resign.”>
EURE: If Governor Cuomo is impeached, New York would welcome in its first female governor Kathy Hochul.
There is a high need for blood donations in Central New York. Red Cross account manager Katie Hout says they need a lot more blood to care for their patients.
KATIE HOUT: “At the moment we’re experiencing severe blood shortage as the number of trauma cases, organ transplants and elective surgeries rise.”>
EURE: So, Syracuse City Hall has teamed up with Red Cross and is hosting a blood drive today until 3 o’clock this afternoon.
And speaking of teaming up– Manny’s, a local t-shirt shop on Marshall Street, is thankful for its connection with Boeheim’s Army. General Manager Mike Theiss says the now championship team has been great for business.
MIKE THEISS: “There’s a lot of alumni that have a strong interest in the TBT tournament and so we’ve had merchandise on our website for a couple of weeks and we’ve seen strong sales both online and in the store.”
EURE: And rightfully so, Boeheim’s Army is fresh off of a million dollar win. The heart and soul of the star studded team, Eric Devendorf, says that he felt the support all tournament long.
ERIC DEVENDORF: “Just Cuse Nation and you know what type of university Syracuse is and obviously Coach Boeheim, he’s the one who really started it. I mean Syracuse basketball is a family and it showed by all the support and tonight I love it.”
EURE: Lots of love going around Cuse nation right now, and a lot of love should be coming in because the weather it is looking good and hot.
