I’m Madeline Marino reporting for N-C-C News. Here are the stories making news today, March 20th.

S-U Women’s Basketball is moving onto the super-sixteen in the W-N-I-T after a win over Seton Hall last night.

Sophomore Guard, Nyah Wilson, says the team is locked in for whats to come.

Wilson:
“It’s really work, it’s like a job. So we’re locked in and then we have our fun and then it’s just back to business.”

To celebrate the up and coming Maple Weekend people can go tour the Environmental Science and Forestry’s own sugar bush in Tully and get their fresh supply of syrup.

MacGregor:
“We sell mostly to the public at this maple weekened coming up where people can bring their own vessels and go fill them up right there.”

A mild winter in Syracuse forced people to travel farther north to hit the slopes. S-U student Annie Poltinokov (Poll-tin-o-kov) gives us her impression of this past winter in Syracuse.

Poltinokov:
“So we wanted to go up to Canada just because we know that the conditions there are so much better. And you get that really nice clean run, and those really nice runs that you are supposed to be getting here but you’re not. And it was a dramatic difference, I mean the way that you are able to ski in Canada, I have never been able to ski like that in New York.”

The Petit (Pet-it) Branch Library in Syracuse is celbrating Women’s History Month with a new exhibit of art sharing women as the subjects.

One artist featured in the exhibit, Judith Hand, shares the importance of women in the arts.
