ANC:I’m Amber McElrath reporting for NCC News. Here are the stories making the news today, March 26th.The New York Mets are at the Carrier Dome for a public workout. Mets pitcher Noah Syndergaard isn’t happy about the trip to Syracuse, but fans like Tammy LaRossa are hoping to change his mind.
Tammy LaRossa: He’s been practicing everyday down in Flordia. He’s here and hopefully he’ll be happy he did show up because he’ll see all the fans that are here for him.
ANC: and two miles away from the Dome, a library is celebrating Women’s History Month with an exhibit called “Imagination Revealed.” Jeanne Keller of the Petit Branch Library says the exhibit promotes women’s artwork.
Jeanne Keller: It’s just uh nice to see that women get promoted here uhm and they’re finding more and more are getting equal pay for the same work.
ANC: and The Whedon Schumacher House is one of 17 properties nominated to the State and National Registers of Historic Places. S-U School of Architecture professor Joseph Godlewski says this is important for the city of Syracuse.
Joseph Godlewski: This is important particularly as we start to rethink the city in a kind of post I-81 world.
