Wegmans Sued for Faux Vanilla Wegmans Sued for Faux Vanilla

Wegmans Food Market is being sued over mislabelling several of its products.

According to two frustrated customers, 22 vanilla ice cream products sold by Wegmans do not contain any real vanilla flavoring but instead, have synthetically produced flavoring.

Frequent Wegmans customers, such as Syracuse graduate student Bailey Arredondo, are not pleased.

“This is something that we expect the best quality especially if it’s from a pristine grocery store like Wegmans and this is just really upsetting,” said Arredondo.

Wegmans has refused to comment on the lawsuit except to reassure customers that the labels follow all regulations and industry standards.
