Hey guys I hope you enjoyed the beautiful Sunday and Monday we had. Today is not as warm but still pretty decent, a little bit of cloud coverage, but right now it is currently 42 degrees. We are looking at a high of 44 and a low of 21. I will have the full forecast coming up at 4:45 p.m.
U.S. Senators Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand announced over 11 million dollars in federal funding for services in Central New York to promote the goal of ending homelessness in the area. The funding comes from the U.S. Department of Housing and urban Development, which strives to quickly rehouse homeless individuals and families while also encouraging self-sufficiency.
President Donald Trump will be giving his State of the Union Address tonight at 9 p.m. Trump is expected to discuss a number of topics including immigration, the state of the economy, and HIV prevention. Thanks, Kyle. Tonight I’m going to be outside of the Carrier Dome where the unranked Syracuse Men’s Basketball team is gearing up to face the number 22 Florida State Seminoles in an ACC matchup at 8pm. Florida State is coming off a 3 game win streak, and they are sitting at 4 and 4 in ACC play. On the other hand, Jim Boeheim’s Orange is looking to improve their in conference record to 8 and 2. They will lean on veteran stars Tyus Battle, Oshae Brissett, and Frank Howard to propel them towards victory. Also, look out for the coach’s son Buddy Boeheim who has been lights out from three point range as of late, shooting almost 60 percent behind the arc in his last 5 games. It’s gonna be on the ACC Network at 8, more coverage. But Kyle, what are you looking at in tonight’s game?
Yeah, I’m looking at Buddy Boeheim and I think you nailed it. He’s been shooting so well recently, and obviously when you have the last name Boeheim you are going to be loved at the Carrier Dome, so I’m looking to see him bring a burst of energy from the crowd and hope to propel us to a win tonight.
And we’ll have more sports at 4 and 4:45 here on NCC News.
