Winter Precipitation Expected to be Above Average Throughout the U.S. Precipitation Expected to be Above Average from Dec-Feb in U.S.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (NCC NEWS) — Prominent states throughout the country, such as California, Texas, Florida, New Jersey, and Massachusetts are all expected to see above average levels of precipitation this winter according to the National Weather Service and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

Through the months of December, January, and February, according to the agencies, their models expect the south-central Rockies, much of the Plains, a lot of the Gulf Coast, and the mid-Atlantic regions to see increased rain and or snowfall this year.

Wetter-than-average conditions are mostly likely in the Southeast, in states such as the aforementioned Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and the Carolinas.

However, states in the Midwest and that border Canada such as Montana, the Dakotas, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan are expected to see below average levels of precipitation according to the models of the National Weather Service and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
