Adam: “Late for a meeting and don’t have time to run across town? Well… hop on a scooter.”
Paul Colabufo: “I use them almost everyday.”
Adam: “VEO came to Syracuse just a few years ago, and now they have over one-thousand scooters placed all around the city. VEO Operations Manager Paul Colabufo says you don’t need to rely on a car to get around anymore.”
Pau Colabufo: “We are in every neighborhood in the city. There’s no place we don’t service. When I first took the job, I reached out to the Syracuse Metropolitan Transit Committee, who has all kinds of studies on where most walking happens. So I strategically put the hubs in places where I know there is a need.”
Adam: “Riding the bikes cost just 36 cents per minute, giving Syracuse residents a faster and cheaper mode of transportation, all by just the press of a button.”
Paul Colabufo: “Once you have the app you can open it up and it’ll show you the location of every scooter throughout the city. So you can find the closest scooter to you. You can see how much battery there is in it. You can see the price.”
Adam: “These bikes are being used so much now that in the months of January and February, when the snow starts to fall, Paul and his crew go around the city of Syracuse, collect all of the bikes and repair them fully so that they feel brand new for the thousands of riders that come back out in the spring.”
VEO Rider: “I think so. I think it provides an added option for mobility.”
Paul Colabufo: “Well the goal is to make it be extremely accessible.”

Syracuse, N.Y. (NCC News) — Sometimes traveling without a car can be difficult, but Veo is trying to change that.
After coming to Syracuse just a few years ago, Veo has scooters all around the city, totaling over a thousand. Veo Operations Manager, Paul Colabufo, says where they placed the Veo’s was strategic.
“We are in every neighborhood in the city. There’s no place we don’t service, ” says Colabufo. “When I first took the job, I reached out to the Syracuse Metropolitan Transit Committee, who has all kinds of studies on where most walking happens. So I strategically put the hubs in places where I know there is a need.”
Riding the bikes costs just 36 cents per minute, giving Syracuse residents a faster and cheaper mode of transportation, all by just the press of a button. By downloading the Veo app, you have access to every one of its bikes in the city.
“Once you open up the app it’ll show you the location of every scooter in the city, so you can find the closest one to you. You can see how much battery there is in it and the price,” says Colabufo.
