(Colette Jones): “For Jennifer Halko, helping out with the goats at the Goat, Llama and Swine Barn is how she prefers to spend at least two weeks of her summer. Although she doesn’t own any goats of her own, she enjoys comforting the goats coming in from all over New York State in between their competitions.”

(Jennifer Halko): “I was a neighbor to somebody who no longer has goats, and so I just come in and help them run their show, and it’s my chance to play farmer.”

(Colette Jones): “Halko explained how similar goats are to dogs. She says each goat has its own unique personality, and after they are successfully weaned off their mothers, the goats tend to get incredibly attached to their owners.”

(Jennifer Halko): “I know that last year one of the ladies that was over here; the goat jumped over onto her because she was sleeping in the next pen overnight, and the goat jumped over to sleep with her.”

SYRACUSE, N.Y.  (NCC News) —  For Jennifer Halko, helping out with the goats at the Goat, Llama and Swine Barn is how she prefers to spend at least two weeks of her summer.
