A FAMILIAR FACE VISITED THE STATE FAIRGROUNDS TODAY AS PART OF HIS POLITICAL CAMPAIGN FOR NEW YORK GOVERNOR. REPORTER JACK WALLACE SHARES WITH US SOME OF WHAT ANDREW GIULIANI HAD TO SAY.

Andrew Giuliani: I think it’s very important that America, that American students and New York students learn the full history of America. That means the good, it also means the bad, but it also means the incredible as well.

Scott: CENTRAL NEW YORK’S PRIDE FESTIVAL AND PARADE IS ONLY THREE DAYS AWAY. REPORTER GABE JULIEN TELLS US HOW ONE LOCAL CANDLE SHOP IS STANDING UP IN SUPPORT OF THE LGBTQ+ COMMUNITY.

Scott: AND WITTY WICKS CANDLES IS NOT THE ONLY LOCAL COMPANY SHOWING THEIR SUPPORT DURING THIS PRIDE MONTH. MEMBERS OF THE SALT CITY ROLLER DERBY TELL US WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A PART OF A SAFE SPACE.

Ari Tausig-Edwards: It’s really nice to be in a room where you don’t have to onboard someone about queerness, about feminism, about the life and goings on things. It’s nice to be able to show up to one space in my life as a fully genuine person.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (NCC News) – Republican candidate for Andrew Giuliani made a visit to the New York State Fairgrounds, while on his campaign run for governor.

June is the month of Pride for the LGBTQ+ community, and one local store owner is showing her support through her business. 

And a local skating team is providing a safe haven for the queer community to be themselves.
