The Polish Festival returns to Syracuse this year after a two-year hiatus. Our Tessa Howard reports that for Chopin Polish Home, it’s a chance to showcase the city’s vibrant Polish culture to the rest of the community.”

Marta Chmielewski: “I think it’s the best way to promote and really show off our heritage, our history… many people know Poland for kielbasa, for pierogi, but there’s so much more than that, there’s so much more than just the polka music.”)

Roberts: “The start of summer means AAU Basketball season around CNY is in full swing. Our Irie Harris tells the story of Syracuse Select general manager Akeem Mottley, who says his mentor when he came up as a teenaged scorekeeper put him on the right path in life.”

Going back to what i just said as far as the morals and values, I couldn’t sit in front of this camera today and speak to you how I’m speaking to you right now without people that influenced me like Sean.”

Roberts: “And following the Supreme Court’s decision to strike down New York’s recent restrictions on concealed handguns, governor Kathy Hochul responds with outrage.”

Kathy Hochul: “This decision, isn’t just reckless, it’s reprehensible. It’s not what New Yorkers want. We should have the right of determination of what we want to do in terms of our gun laws in our state.”
