No Snow Days at Syracuse University No Snow Days at Syracuse University

Syracuse University students cannot catch a break. Whereas schools all throughout the Central New York area have been cancelled due to the snow, Syracuse students continue to go to their classes.

Julia Schwenderman, a student at Syracuse University, says,“It’s a little frustrating when you’re thinking about [how] all these other people kind of get a break, but you kind of have to just suck it up and bundle up.”

Students who live on south campus and have to take the bus to get to class are especially troubled during these poor weather conditions, as student Jesse Natelman states,“It’s just really hard being so far from main campus… I have to take the bus to class which is terrible and the bus schedule doesn’t adjust to the weather so often times you’re standing in the cold for a solid amount of time so it’s pretty rough honestly.”

The University has only had a total of 3 snow days in history, with the last one being on March 2nd earlier this year.
