SYRACUSE, N.Y. (NCC News)— Dozens of vendors will be makin’ bacon-themed items at the 4th Annual Dunkin’ Syracuse Bacon Festival.
Hotdogs wrapped in bacon, bacon lemonade, bacon meatballs, bacon popcorn, and corn wrapped in bacon are possible items at the festival.
Galaxy Events manager Jordan Prietti said vendors get really creative. He also said some vendors don’t just serve typical bacon dishes.
“A lot of these vendors go beyond that,” Prietti said.
Prietti said the vendors will sell clothes with bacon on it. He said bacon ties, t-shirts, and socks will be available as well.
Prietti said the vendors are required to have at least one bacon themed item, but the owner of Brancato’s catering and Sicilian Italian ice, Domenick Brancato, will have about ten.
“Everything comes with bacon,” Brancato said.
Brancato said he will be serving Italian ice with bacon, a sausage sandwich with bacon and chicken riggies with bacon.
If you don’t eat meat, Prietti said there will be vegan options as well.
This year’s festival is presented by Nave Law Firm. It’s the first year the festival will last two days and will take place at Clinton square.
On Friday, the festival starts at four in the afternoon. Saturday, it starts at noon. The festival ends at ten in the evening on both nights.
