July 23. The state is not giving grants to homes damaged by rising water levels on Lake Ontario. Homeowner, Mark Lichtenstein, says this could be a problem.

Lichetenstein: For home owners and businesses along the lake, long term effect if they're not able to protect their shoreline is loss of property, loss of houses.

Trivelpiece: But, this could change.

Lichtenstein: Because of the flooding in 2017, the state came up with money. Basically they declared these areas disaster areas and they came up with funding for residences, business, and others to apply for.

Trivelpiece: Protestors rally outside the office of 24th District Representative John Katko to hold him accountable for not speaking up against President Trump’s attack toward minority congresswomen.

Many international students will be arriving on campuses this fall. Student Monica Gonzalez from Puerto Rico, says to adjust
