Good afternoon this is your NCC sports brief. It’s October 29th and I’m Santino Primerano.

Syracuse football will look to end a three game losing streak when Boston College comes to the Dome on Saturday. The Orange is coming off a 35-17 loss against Florida State in Tallahassee over the weekend. 4-4 Boston College is also coming off a loss. Clemson crushed the Eagles 59-7 last week. Syracuse defeated B-C by a score of 42-21 last year. Kickoff on Saturday is set for noon.

Over to the MLB, a champion could be crowned tonight. The World Series shifts back to Houston with the Astros holding a three games to two series lead over the Washington Nationals. The Astros won three games in Washington over weekend as they outscored Washington 19 to 3 in those games. But there is good news for National’s fans: the road team has won all five games in the series. Tonight’s pitching matchup features Justin Verlander and Stephen Strasburg. These two squared off in Game two when the Nationals won 12-3. First pitch tonight is scheduled for just after eight.

Finally, the Rangers welcome in the Tampa Bay Lightning to the Garden tonight. New York is looking to get back in the column after losing to the Bruins in their last matchup. New York has struggled out of the gate as they have started three five and one. Puck drop will be at seven thirty.
